At Martin Smith Guitar, we’re committed to providing a smooth shopping experience and instruments you can enjoy for years.
If you’re not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may request a return for a refund to the original payment method or an identical replacement
within 30 days of shipment, subject to the conditions below.
Not eligible for return:
- Strings
- Guitar accessories
- Disposable care/cleaning products
- Special orders
- Instruments with added modifications or custom work
How Do I Return a Product?
All returns and exchanges must be initiated through our customer service team and require a Return Authorization.
To start a return:
- Contact us through our website or email admin@martinsmithguitar.com.
- Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide a return authorization number and return instructions.
- Pack the item securely in the original packaging (when possible) and ship it according to the instructions provided.
Once your return is received and inspected, please allow approximately 3–7 business days for your refund to be processed.
Processing time may vary depending on return volume and your payment provider.
What If My Product Was Damaged Upon Arrival?
If your item arrives damaged or appears defective, contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you.
If we determine the item is damaged in transit or has a manufacturing defect, it may be eligible for a full refund or replacement.
Products are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If damage is determined to be caused by misuse or improper handling after delivery,
it may impact eligibility for a refund.
Return condition requirements (unless the item is reported as damaged/defective):
- Items must be returned in original condition with no signs of wear
- No “dings” (surface damage), scrapes, or scratches
- Include original packaging, manuals, booklets, accessories (if applicable)
- Include a copy of the packing slip and the reason for return
Will I Be Charged Shipping Fees?
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. If we confirm the product is defective or was damaged during shipping,
we may cover return shipping costs or provide alternative instructions.
We recommend you insure your return shipment and use a carrier that provides tracking and proof of delivery.
If a return package is damaged or lost during transit, please file a claim with the shipping carrier and notify us.
Will I Be Charged a Restocking Fee?
Returns are subject to inspection. In some cases, returns may be subject to a 10% restocking fee unless we determine the item
has a manufacturing defect or arrived damaged.
Items returned in a condition that differs from the requirements above may be subject to additional fees, partial refund,
or may be deemed ineligible for return.
